| I asked for this cookbook for Christmas, and it is fantastic! The recipes are easy, flavorful, and always a hit with my husband, who happens to be a rather picky eater. I've tried a number of new recipes out of this book, and I have to say that the instructions are simple and that there is a good inclusion of fresh produce and herbs without it being an overwhelming trip to the grocery store. Even though some recipes are global in nature (such as Thai-style and African-style dishes), the recipes of this book incorporate ingredients that are easy to obtain from your local market and are rather "Americanized." I love that this cookbook is so very practical--you will use it far more often than you expect. I have many cookbooks for many occasions, but this is a solid go-to guide for everyday meals and is absolutely one of my favorites. |
